On March 7, Varsity Football Coach Ed Killenberger was honored by the New York Giants and Gatorade as “Coach of the Week.”

Killenberger, a physical education teacher at Goshen High School, was recognized as a top football coach in the tri-state area in October after leading the Goshen Gladiators to victories over the New Paltz Huguenots, as well as long-time rival Warwick Wildcats, to recapture the illustrious “Spirit Trophy.” Goshen’s win ended a 14-year losing streak against the Wildcats.

The Giants and Gatorade rewarded Coach Killenberger with a celebratory dinner, a meet-and-greet with Giants Head Coach Pat Shurmur, 100 tickets to a preseason game, and a $2,000 donation to the football program.
