District hosts routine drug sweep at CJH, GHS

This morning, at the district’s request, the Village of Goshen Police Department and New York State Police Department conducted a routine drug detection sweep at the C. J. Hooker Middle School and Goshen High School.

Police officers and detection dogs searched student lockers, common areas and gym lockers at both schools. There were no indications of narcotics in either building.

During the sweep, students and faculty were instructed to “hold-in-place” – to close their classroom doors and continue with regular instruction. There were no disruptions to the academic process.

District officials would like to thank the Village of Goshen Police Department and the New York State Police Department for their continued support of our students’ safety. The district plans to continue holding routine drug detection sweeps in the future.
