CJH students host food drive to benefit local families

C. J. Hooker Middle School students recently collected 1,352 nonperishable food items during a school-wide food drive hosted by the members of the Leo Club.

Homerooms competed to collect the most items and the winners from each grade level receive treats from Dunkin’ Donuts.

It was a tie between Mrs. Nardone and Mrs. Caruso’s seventh grade homerooms.

The winning homerooms are:

  • Grade 8 – Mr. Guarneiri’s homeroom
  • Grade 7 – Tie between Ms. Nardone’s homeroom and Mrs. Caruso’s homeroom
  • Grade 6 – Mrs. Monti’s homeroom, who collected the most food overall

The donations were sent to the Youth Ending Hunger Club at Goshen Intermediate School which benefits local families.
