Please take note of the new arrival procedures at GHS

As the new school year approaches, families are asked to adhere to the Goshen High School’s new arrival procedures in order to facilitate a safe and efficient arrival for all students, staff and visitors during renovation. Please refer to the video below and note the following procedures.

Bus Arrival:

Buses will file into the school’s front parking lot between 7:05 and 7:15 a.m. The buses will park on the road that is closest to the sidewalk and will remain parked until all students safely exit. Students will enter the school through the door located on the far left side of the building. (If you are familiar with the building, this is near stairwell three, next to classroom A118.) Staff and security will be stationed outside to help with the flow of traffic.

Car Arrival:

Students will be allowed to arrive as early as 7:05 a.m. Cars will also file into the school’s front parking lot, but should use the car “drop-off” lane.  Do not enter the bus lane. Students may leave the car as soon as it is safe to do so and should walk across the nearest crosswalks and proceed to the door located on the far left side of the building. (If you are familiar with the building, this is near stairwell three, next to classroom A118.) Staff and security will be stationed outside to help with the flow of traffic.

Cars that are dropping off should proceed all the way toward the end of the circle before entering the “drop-off” lane.
The high school's new main entrance
The original main entrance will be closed during renovations. Students and visitors will need to walk down the sidewalk to the second door.

Notes:

  • The school’s regular main entrance will be closed during this renovation period. The door located on the far left side of the building (next to classroom A118) will become a temporary main entrance.
  • This door will also serve as the school’s visitor entrance. Security cameras and an intercom system will be installed. There will be a greeter stationed outside the entrance at all times to help students and visitors find his or her way.
  • Students and visitors will also use this door as the main exit.
  • Senior parking spaces will be limited. Click here for more information about senior parking spaces and permit applications.
