CJH school supply lists available

The C.J. Hooker Middle School has provided a preliminary supply list of materials that all students will need, regardless of grade or teacher. Students, parents and/or guardians can use the following list as “jump start” on back-to-school shopping. Teachers may ask for additional supplies in September.

500 3 x 5 index cards (plain or color)

Review books listed below. Can be purchased at most bookstores and easily found online:

Biology (The Living Environment):

One 1-inch three ring binder or a section in a larger binder
2 pocket folders WITH clips

Spanish:

One 1” three ring binder or a section in a larger binder

French:

Set of 12 coloring pencils (to be left in class)
One full pencil case with 1 blue, black, red, and green pen plus pencil and eraser (the pencil case must be brought every day to class, failure to do so will result in a 0 for participation for that day)
One two-pocket folder to be left in class for portfolio

Special areas supply list

Art: Pencils, a section in binder (no separate binder needed)

Health: Pen or Pencil, pocket folder

Orchestra: Each student should have an instrument to start the year with; contact Ms. Calohan or Mr. Schindler over the summer if you need help

Family and Consumer Science: Pocket folder, glue sticks

General Music: Pencil, pocket folder

Physical Education: no supplies, but you need to change clothes for PE every class
