Goshen community approves proposed budget for 2018-19

On May 15, district residents passed the $71,339,552 proposed budget for the 2018-19 school year by a vote of 760 yes votes to 312 no votes — an approval rating of 71 percent. Under the approved budget, the district’s tax levy is projected to increase by 1.68 percent.

The proposition to purchase eight school buses passed with 759 yes votes and 314 no votes.

The proposition to expend approximately $3.9 million from the Capital Reserve Fund passed with 743 yes votes and 329 no votes.

Incumbents Jason Pucci, Judy Green and Martha Bogart will serve three-year terms on the Board of Education with 840 votes, 824 votes and 780 votes, consecutively. David Schrank received 334 votes.
