Are you receiving text messages from the district? Learn more

In light of yesterday’s lockout, district officials would like to remind parents, guardians and employees that you must opt-in to receive text message alerts from the district.

To ensure that you are receiving text messages, text “Y” to 67587.

You will know if you were successful if you receive the following automatic response SMS message: You are registered to receive approx. 3 msgs/mo. Text STOP to quit, HELP for help.

It’s important to know that a voice file is texted whenever a telephone call is made to the cell phones of parents, guardians and employees (such as during weather events, including cancellations and delays). This is not the same as receiving text message alerts. You will still need to text “Y” to 67587 to opt-in to receive text message alerts.

Please note that SchoolMessenger alerts are for parents, guardians and district employees only.

About SchoolMessenger

The district uses the SchoolMessenger notification system that pulls its contact information from SchoolTool/Parent Portal (parents and guardians) and nVision (employees). If your contact information is incorrect in these databases, you will not receive alerts. Learn how you can verify your contact information.

Parents, guardians and employees must also create his or her own contact preference profile with SchoolMessenger’s InfoCenter. When you sign up/log into InfoCenter, you will be able to choose how you’d like to be contacted. This includes receiving e-mails, telephone calls, weather alerts and more. Learn more about creating a contact preference profile in InfoCenter.
