Serena Yeddu, Rachel Seo win school-level spelling bee

Serena Yeddu and Rachel Seo, grades 7 and 8, respectively, are the school-level winners of the 2018 Scripps National Spelling Bee at C. J. Hooker Middle School.

Seventh and eighth grader students recently participated in the school-level bee after advancing from classroom-level bees held during English Language Arts classes. Both Serena and Rachel will advance to the county bee in March.
