Goshen High School senior violinist Kiley Rowe was awarded the prestigious Orange County Music Educators Association Performance Scholarship.

Scholarship auditions were held January 5 at Washingtonville High School where Kiley performed the Paul Hindemith Viola Sonata Op. 11, No. 4. The scholarship is open to music students across Orange County who participated in All-County festivals and plan to major in music in college.

In addition to a monetary award, Kiley will perform the piece in front of a county-wide audience at the 2018 OCMEA Senior High All-County Festival at Pine Bush High School on January 27.

Kiley is an active member of multiple orchestras and choruses at Goshen High School. She also currently attends the Pre-College program at The Juilliard School at Lincoln Center in New York City.
