Principal William Rolon took one for the team when he received a pie in the face to help the Goshen Ecumenical Food Pantry.
In November, C. J. Hooker Middle School students held a contest to raise money for the food pantry, spearheaded by members of the Character Ed. Committee and the Spirit Committee. Students brought in spare change and voted for one of four middle school employees to receive a “pie in the face.”
Principal William Rolon raised the most money, $238.31, while Assistant Principal Heather Carman raised $24.25, Guidance Counselor Mike Toscano raised $8.16 and School Nurse Nancy Ellefsen raised $2.36. A grand total of $273.08 was donated to the pantry.
