Notice about student BMI reporting to health department

The Goshen Central School District was selected to report Student Weight Status Category information for the 2017-18 school year, as part of New York State Education Law.

Goshen must report its students’ weight status group and body mass index (BMI) to the New York State Health Department. The information will help health officials develop programs that make it easier for children to be healthier. Only summary information is sent. No names and information about individuals are reported.

Parents/guardians may choose to exclude their child’s information from this survey report. A form was e-mailed to all parents/guardians and will be sent home with students. If you have questions or need a form, contact your school nurse.
