Goshen residents pass proposed budget for 2017-18

On May 16, district residents passed the $69,733,196 proposed budget for the 2017-18 school year by a vote of 868 yes votes to 302 no votes — an approval rating of 74 percent. Under the approved budget, the district’s tax levy is projected to increase by 2.89 percent.

The proposition to purchase six school buses passed with 857 yes votes and 315 no votes.

The proposition to replenish the Capital Reserve Fund passed with 828 yes votes and 341 no votes.

Incumbents Allison Salte and Thomas Mullane will serve three-year terms on the Board of Education with 961 votes and 913 votes, consecutively. They ran unopposed.
