C. J. Hooker names December Students of the Month

Principal William Rolon and Assistant Principal Heather Carman are proud to announce the December Students of the Month.

The student of the month is:

  • Respectful – The student treats classmates, teachers and staff with respect by valuing each as an individual, respecting differences, and valuing the work that others do.
  • Responsible – The student embraces the responsibility required to maintain progress in their schoolwork and other personal goals.
  • Positive – The student contributes to the success of the school by promoting a positive school climate through their actions and words.
  • Honest – The student communicates truthfully and in a respectful way with classmates, teachers, staff and refrains from dishonesty in completing academic work.
  • Committed to success – The student strives for success in all they do and works to the best of their ability.

Grade 6

Dominick Siracusa is a great role model to everyone! He is always very polite and respectful. Dominick is very responsible and works hard in all of his subjects. He has a positive attitude, and happy. Dominick is always kind and nice to everyone!

Gabe Kaufman is a pleasure to have in class. His pleasant and amusing personality is enjoyed by all. He is an inquisitive and engaged learner. He is always thoughtful and kind to other students.

Cora Pahucki is a pleasure to have in class. She is is focused and works hard. Cora has a positive attitude and is kind to everyone. She is often the first to step up and help when it is needed.

Connor Krauss is a hard working student. He comes to class every day excited, with a smile on his face, always ready to work. He is an active participant is class. He enjoys reading aloud and answering questions. Connor is always willing to share a joke or a funny story. He loves science and is an active member of the STEM club.

Special Areas:
Ayana Suqui goes above and beyond in her work…she starts a project or game in class and then continues it at home to practice her skills and improve. She has a positive attitude toward her schoolwork. Ayana’s effort is excellent. She always pays attention, stays focused, and is willing to assist her classmates.

Grade 7

Ryan Zirilli is an excellent student and a kind classmate. Ryan is always respectful of his fellow students and teachers. Ryan exhibits a positive attitude while at school, and he is honest and trustworthy in his words and actions. He is always prepared for class, focused, and eager to get to work. Ryan always does his best and puts in a lot of effort to make sure his work is done on time and done well.

Aidan Staunton is an outstanding young man and student. Although Aidan’s grades are very good he also stands out for his positive attitude and the fact that he treats everyone nicely and with respect. Aidan’s presence makes CJ Hooker and the Goshen School District a better place. Thank you for being a great guy Aidan!

Sky Rios is always smiling and saying hello to her teachers in the classroom and in the hallways. She has a caring way about her, and always wants to help other students succeed. She will take it upon herself to organize a peer’s binder or help them prepare for an upcoming assessment.

Special Areas:
Allison Kowalczyk has shown focus, persistence, and creativity in tech class. She is a great role model for others around her and is very deserving of the honor of student of the month.

Grade 8

Daniel Horrego is a smart, determined, kind and considerate young man. He is mature beyond his years as he is always appropriate, both in and out of the classroom, and relates well to adults and his peers. Daniel is a positive influence and looks out for the best interests of others. He is motivated to do his best and seeks help when needed. Daniel is a quiet leader and sets an admirable example.

Andrew Svede is a hard-working and smart young man who is committed to doing his best. He is very responsible and trustworthy and is respectful of his peers and teachers. He is very deserving of the honor of student of the month.

Andrew Wyler is consistently on time for class and prepared with the appropriate materials. He is always polite to his teachers and has shown a marked improvement in the recent weeks with his focus and determination to do well in his classes.

Special Areas:
Lexi Siracusa has done an outstanding job in art so far this year. She works hard to go above and beyond what is required on each art project. She always has a smile. Last marking period she created some outstanding paintings and drawings. I can’t wait to see what she makes next.
