Welcome back! View a letter from Principal Jason Carter

The faculty and staff members of the Goshen Intermediate School are pleased to open its doors to all students and their families for the 2016-17 school year. Our current enrollment is approximately 665 students. The building is in excellent condition due in large part to the hard work of our custodial staff and members of the buildings and grounds crew.

We will continue to follow the All Star Behavior plan as part of our positive discipline approach. Students will learn and put into use the school wide expectations: Be Respectful, Be Ready and Be Safe. This practice will help to create and maintain a well structured learning environment in our classrooms and throughout the building.

In the classroom, we strive to strengthen and enrich our academic programs. This year, we will continue to utilize the curricular modules in the area of Mathematics. In the area of English Language Arts, we will once again implement the McGraw-Hill Reading Wonders program. Many new review materials and leveled reading books will be offered in our classrooms as well. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to take part in numerous school and PTO sponsored clubs and activities throughout the school year.

Opening day for our students is September 6, 2016. Students may enter the building at 9:00 A.M. The academic day will end at 3:00 P.M. Students are urged to utilize school bus transportation to and from school each day. If pick up by car is necessary please inform us in writing in advance. Curbside pick-up, utilizing McNally Street, will begin at approximately 2:55 P.M. Bus dismissal will begin at 3:05 P.M. daily.

A strong relationship with our community is important to us. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the main office at 615-6500. The Goshen Intermediate School faculty and staff are looking forward to a very successful school year.
