GIS

relief in Haiti

February 16, 2010 -
Last month, the members of the Youth Ending Hunger Club and
Elizabeth Jung's Team 125 organized a loose
change collection to help provide relief to our
Haitian neighbors after the devastating earthquake. Students made posters announcing
their fundraiser and collected loose
change at the wishing well in the main lobby, as
well as during lunch periods.
"Thanks to the
wonderful community of donors at GIS, we have a
generous contribution to send to the earthquake
victims of Haiti," said Jung. "Our Hope For Haiti
Loose Change Collection has raised more than we ever
anticipated, and we are thrilled to be helping Haiti
with a donation of $1420.13."
The money raised will
be donated by check to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. |
