about
student pick-up
at
Scotchtown Avenue
(Back)
Dear Families,
As we move into the fall and winter months, we must
readjust our parent pick up procedures. Very soon,
we will be faced with colder temperatures and
possibly snow. Since we have so many students being
picked up at the end of each day, it is no longer
safe to keep them lined up on the sidewalk. It is
also becoming a very dangerous situation for the
many cars waiting to pick up along Scotchtown
Avenue.
Beginning Monday,
October 29, we are asking any parent picking up a
child to park his or her car in the parking lot and
enter the building at the side entrance by the loop
after the buses have pulled away, which is at
approximately 3:25 p.m. It is very important to wait
until after the buses have pulled away to park your
car and enter the building. We have had a very long
line of cars waiting along Scotchtown Avenue which
is causing a dangerous situation.
Upon entering the building, you will be greeted by
an aide who will ask you to sign out your child,
show identification and wait while your child is
brought to you.
These changes are being made for your child’s safety
as well as your own. If you have any questions or
concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Daria Murphy, Principal & Melissa Lawson, Assistant
