thanks
community
for
its generosity
(Back)
Dear Goshen
Intermediate families and friends,
On behalf of the Youth Ending Hunger organization
and all the students and faculty, I would like to
thank you for the generous gifts that we have
received following the Times Record-Herald article
on the changing roles of the school nurse. I am
truly overwhelmed as well as eternally grateful for
your commitment to helping our children in need.
It does take a
village to work with the family to raise a child and
weather the storms of life. I've said that phrase
many times, but it has never been more relevant to
me on a personal level than over these past few
years working as a school nurse.
To extend the
village concept, it’s important that we see all the
children as our children. Each year the Youth Ending
Hunger group, (run by Mrs. Sue-Anne Dropkin-3rd
grade teacher, and Renee Matalucci-parent volunteer)
continues to advance its mission to feed the hungry
in our community. Through this organization, there
have been many lives changed for the better.
The most important
thing we can teach our children is how to care. Care
leads to growth, self-confidence, self-esteem and
unselfishness. With the help of donations from
supporters such as you we will continue to teach our
students this valuable life lesson.
Thank you again for
your generous support in our efforts to continue to
see that every child is clothed, fed, safe and warm.
Respectfully,
Charlotte O’Connor, RN
GIS School Nurse
