GIS
students collect loose change
for
relief in Haiti
(Back)
January
25, 2010 -
The members of the Youth Ending Hunger Club and
Elizabeth Jung's Team 125 have organized a loose
change collection to help provide relief to our
Haitian neighbors after the devastating earthquake
on January 12. Students made posters announcing
their fundraiser and have been collecting loose
change at the wishing well in the main lobby, as
well as during lunch periods.
Students will
continue collecting money throughout the week, and
have already collected $300 in loose change. The
money will be given to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund,
where 100 percent will be donated to help restore
Haiti. Please give your loose change for this
important fundraiser. According to Jung, our
students believe that "loose change can make a
change in Haiti." |
