On April 1, several Goshen High School students competed in the Olympics of the Visual Arts (OVA) Competition in Saratoga Springs, an event sponsored by the New York Art Teachers Association. 

Our students' entries into the competition were outstanding, and several won awards for their work. The following students participated in the OVA competition:

Architecture, Mountain Top Retreat: Tate Sumner, first place

Fashion, A Circus Costume: Jessica Schoonmaker and Bridget Comeau, fashion designers; and Hanna Santoro, Jackie Centolanza and Carolyn Pavlik, models; second place

Painting, Portrait of a Mythological Character: Victor Pasaran and Jessica Thirkield, most creative

Illustration, Over the Rainbow: Ariel Schlag, Laina Schlag and Rebecca Stewart, third place
