March 4, 2010 - It's hard to believe another winter track season has come to an end. Starting in the second week of November and ending in the first week of March is a long period of time, but it flew by very fast.

The season started out smooth, with nice warm temperatures and dry ground to run on, not to mention a clear track. From there it began to fall apart. The snow reeked havoc on our practices. Snow covered the track, mud and wetness on the ground, along with inclement weather that caused school to close and meets and practices to be cancelled. Through it all, the coaching staff and athletes made it through.

In the last few weeks of the season, we competed in the Orange County Championships, Section IX championships, and a select few qualified for state championship qualifications. They were Jaime Lisack, Jenny Edmonson, Brittany Foote, Lucy Hinchliffe, and Tina Wildrick. As the season came to a close, the boys finished fourth in their division and the girls finished third in their division, each with very strong competition.

The coaching staff would like to congratulate the athletes on a great season, and thank the parents and administration for their continued support of the Indoor Track and Field Team.
