society, as well as to broaden the student’s
understanding of other cultures. The topics of the
course center on an analysis of humans as both
creatures of nature and creators of culture. The
objective of the course is to increase the
understanding of human behavior in such a way as to
enable the human species to shape its future course
more intelligently, and to provide the essential
knowledge base for students to look at human
