Physics Honors

Grades 11 - Full year - One credit

The content and order of topics in this course is similar to the Regents Physics course. Unlike most other science courses that students may take in high school, the Physics Honors course emphasizes the role of mathematics in the study of the world around us, and physics concepts are learned primarily through problem solving that involves higher level math. Students are expected to take the Physics Regents exam at the conclusion of the course. Students who successfully complete Physics Honors are encouraged to go on to the Advanced Placement course in biology.
