Biology 01

Grade 9 - Full year - Once credit

Regents Biology follows the New York State core curriculum and is designed to provide the student with a broad and general understanding of the fundamental principles of biology. The topics included in the course are biochemistry, modern evolution, ecology, physiology of both plants and animals, and genetics. This course also includes selected laboratory activities that supplement and enhance the classroom topics. Students who successfully complete this course are encouraged to go on to Regents Earth Science. Students take the Living Environment Regents exam at the conclusion of the course.
