Student Government has rescheduled the
showing of National Treasure Book of Secrets to
Friday, March 5, right after school from 3:00-5:30 in the
auditorium. $5 will be charged at the door for soda and
snacks during intermission. Money raised will be used to
help fund the Student Development Day carnival in May.
We hope to see you there!
Tests and Quizzes:
The United States Constitution Test has been changed
to Tuesday, March 9.
Weekly Overview
Extra Help: I will
be available most days after school, from 2:30 to 3:00, to
provide extra help/tutoring for students seeking such

Outline/Overview
Course Overview: Seventh grade social studies is the
first half of a two-year course of study in American
History. During the course of the school year, we will
trace the human experience chronologically from
pre-Columbian times to the period of the American Civil War.
Major ideas in American social, economic, and political life
will be examined as we cover this historical period.
Materials: You will be expected to have the following
materials:

One inch (or larger) binder with loose leaf paper

Blue or black pens

Pencils
-
Three highlighters (different colors)

Colored pencils or markers (required by most team
teachers)

Index Cards
Grading and Assessment: You will be given a variety of
ways to express what you have learned in social studies
class. Your average will be based on assignments such
