Special Red Team
News: A
field trip that includes a narrated Hudson River cruise,
lunch, and tour of West Point is scheduled for Thursday, May
13th. The cost is $50. Permission slips and
payment must be returned to your homeroom teacher by
Wednesday, 4/21/10.

There will be two assessments the week of April 19.

Extra Help: I will

Outline/Overview
Course Overview: Seventh grade social studies is the
first half of a two-year course of study in American
History. During the course of the school year, we will
trace the human experience chronologically from
pre-Columbian times to the period of the American Civil War.
Major ideas in American social, economic, and political life
will be examined as we cover this historical period.
Materials: You will be expected to have the following
materials:

One inch (or larger) binder with loose leaf paper

Blue or black pens

Pencils
-
Three highlighters (different colors)
-
Colored pencils or markers (required by most team
teachers)

Index Cards
Grading and Assessment: You will be given a variety of
ways to express what you have learned in social studies
class. Your average will be based on assignments such
