Proyecto "Vamos a Cocinar"
LETS DO SOME SPANISH
COOKING IN CLASS

We have learned in class
about the “Day of the Death” (El Dia de los Muertos)
celebration in Spanish-speaking countries. Therefore, as
part of an interactive learning process, we will be learning
how to cook one of the most famous dishes from Mexico,
guacamole. Parents/Guardians who would like to help in
class are welcome. Please sign at the button of this paper
to let us know that you are coming.
1.-Bring the following materials
from home to use in class:
·
a pair of plastic gloves
·
an apron
·
an small plastic bowl
·
a fork
·
1 avocado, 1 small tomato, ½ white onion, 1
lemon, 1 small bag of Doritos or chips
·
a few sprigs of cilantro
·
a plastic bag to transport your cooking
utensils back home.
Make sure you have all these materials
so you can learn how to make “Guacamole” in class. I will
give you a grade for your participation in class and you
will enjoy your own guacamole with some Doritos or chips

The
arrival time for parents who will help in class depends on
your child’s schedule. Please make sure you arrive 5 minutes
before the class starts.
