Jonathan Frederick, an eighth grade student at the C. J. Hooker Middle School, was selected to perform with the Junior High All-County Jazz Band on vibraphone. This year's All-County Jazz Festival will be held Feb. 23 at the Minisink Valley Middle School.

Jonathan has played the vibraphone since he was in the fourth grade. He was selected for the ensemble based on his audition, where he played scales by memory, performed selected sheet music and also improvised. He performs with the Middle School Wind Ensemble and the Goshen Youth Jazz Band.

Jonathan is the son of Marisa and Thomas Frederick of Goshen.
