"Festival of the Arts"

The Goshen Central
School District proudly presents its annual
“Festival of the Arts” on May 21 in the Goshen High
School gym.
Original artwork by “the best of the best” art
students in grades K-12 will be displayed, along
with exhibits by Goshen High School Unified Arts
students, live solo and ensemble music performances
and an auction of one-of-a-kind painted furniture by
art teachers and students.
Artists in grades 9-12, as well as district art
teachers, will refinish and paint old chairs and
tables in the style of a famous artist,” said Jane Unhjem, assistant superintendent
for curriculum and instruction. “The pieces will be
auctioned off with the proceeds benefiting art
scholarships for our students.”
The Opening Reception and Viewing will begin at 6
p.m. The Furniture Auction and Musical performances
will begin at 7 p.m. Additional exhibit viewing
hours will be held from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. May 22.
