GHS
names Physical Education Students of the
Month for January

The Goshen
High School Physical Education Department
has named its Students of the Month for
January.
Students were nominated by their physical
education teachers to receive this honor.
Each student received a T-shirt.
“Physical Education is education of, by, and
through human movement,” said Physical
Education Teacher Mike Turi. “It is the
phase of general education which contributes
to the total growth and development of the
child, primarily through selected movement
experiences and physical activities.”
The Physical Education Students of the Month
for January are Jackie Gill, nominated by
Ms. Kathryn for her participation in table
and floor tennis; Christina Lee, nominated
by Mr. Gus Lawson for her participation in
lacrosse; Katrina Lord, nominated by Mr.
Mike Turi for her participation in hip-hop
dance; Justin Moriarty, nominated by Mr.
Robert McIntee for his participation in
lacrosse; and Stephanie Nowak, nominated by
Ms. Joanne Reiser for her participation in
table tennis.
