Ask the Superintendent -
January 30, 2008
During the month of January, the Central Office
Administration, Principals, and Directors have been
very busy working on the many components of the
2008/09 school budget.
The Board of Education will be reviewing the
administrators’ budget presentations at their
regularly scheduled meetings during February, March,
and April. The first budget presentation will be
Monday, February 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the Main Street
School. I would like to suggest the importance of
attending as many of these presentations as possible
to ensure you will have the most accurate
information with regard to our 2008/09 budget. These
meetings will offer a better understanding as to how
the budget is constructed. They will also offer an
opportunity to view the needs and the visions of
each administrator and director. Please consider
attending as many of the following budget
presentations as possible. They take approximately
one hour or only a portion of the actual meeting. It
would be an hour well spent.
